Academic handbook
This handbook provides students with important information relating to their academic journey. The material in this handbook is accurate at the date of posting and is applicable for the current academic year. Academic school handbooks are updated yearly and students must check for the current edition.
Program Advisory Committees
PAC members are employers, practitioners and recent program graduates. College representatives (students, faculty and administrators) are resource persons. Each committee advises the Board on the development of new programs, the monitoring of existing programs and community acceptance of programs.

Student achievement data
53% of the students from the class of 2024 (Fall 2020 intake) graduated within four years.
- 93% of the students enrolled in the winter 2020 term returned in fall 2020, putting attrition at 7%.
- 100% of the students enrolled in the winter 2021 term returned in fall 2021, putting attrition at 0%.
- 92% of the students enrolled in the winter 2022 term returned in fall 2022, putting attrition at 8%.
- 93% of the students enrolled in the winter 2023 term returned in fall 2023, putting attrition at 7%.
- 96% of the students enrolled in the winter 2024 term returned in fall 2024, putting attrition at 4%.
From the graduating class of 2022, 71% of graduates participated in the collection of data. Of the respondents, 88% were employed in the field of interior design within six months of graduation.
Over the last five years, the program has averaged 12% of graduates seeking out further education opportunities. Some graduates have pursued Masters programs to continue their studies in Interior Design at institutions in both Canada and the USA. For example, students have gained acceptance to: the University of British Columbia's Masters of Architecture, the Master of Fine Arts in Interior Design at the Parsons School of Design at The New School, the Master of Arts in Interior Design at Rhode Island School of Design, and the Master of Fine Arts in Interior Design at the Pratt Institute.
