Policy Statement
ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ is committed to providing excellent service to its many and diverse clients,
including current and prospective students, parents, alumni, employers, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ
employees and others. Email, voicemail, virtual meetings and the Outlook calendar are
critical components of our communication system.
Scope
This policy pertains to the use of email, voicemail, virtual meetings and the calendar tool
by all ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ employees.
Definitions
ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ maintains a glossary of terms specific to the institution. The ones in use for this document are defined below.
- ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Employee
- Any employee of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, whether employed full-time, part-time, or on a contract basis, and includes, but is not limited to, faculty, student researchers when compensated as employees, research staff, support staff and administrators.
- Faculty
- Faculty are responsible for the teaching/learning process and the evaluation of student work.  
Policy
To ensure quality and consistency in the delivery of service to clients, all ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ employees must follow established guidelines (see Email, Voicemail, Virtual Meeting and Calendar Guidelines) for the use of email, voicemail, virtual meetings and the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ calendar tool.
This policy will be included in the orientation of new employees and in ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s
Faculty and Staff Handbooks.
